APPROACH
Eaglehead Capital's investment approach is primarily focused on direct venture investing using the family's capital. Leveraging deep rooted relationships, as well as board and senior advisor roles, across numerous high-performing Venture and Growth Capital firms, Eaglehead Capital has a unique opportunity to be nimble and opportunistic in our approach to implementing our direct investment strategy.
We invest in a small number of companies annually in order to ensure we have the capacity to provide the advisory/operational support Management Teams and Financial Sponsors expect from us. Initial direct and coinvestment size ranges from $250,000 to $2.5MM in order to maintain the flexibility to participate in follow-on funding rounds when appropriate.
STRATEGY
Eaglehead Capital invests in companies with strong management teams and works closely with them to help maximize the speed and certainty of growth and success through partnerships with the CEO, Management Team, and Board. We are passionate about addressing the strategic and operational opportunities faced by CEO’s and Entrepreneurs from the point of investment to exit.
Such opportunities include a range of activities and areas of focus such as evolving GTM/client acquisition models that drive high velocity revenue growth, business model improvements such pricing and margin expansion strategies, talent acquisition and development, how to leverage one’s Board as both a strategic and operational weapon, and other areas of a business that drive financial value and returns. Our total commitment towards creating value coupled with a flexible investment horizon means that we approach each exit opportunity with the patience and clarity required to confidently evaluate offers and support CEOs, Management Teams, and Boards through critical considerations and decisions.
JOHN M. CONNOLLY
John Connolly, founder of Eaglehead Capital, has 30+ years of experience in founding, managing, and successfully exiting companies across a variety of industries. His incredible track record of coaching CEOs, Management Teams, and Boards on how to effectively lead, evolve, and scale their companies, has generated over $6BN in shareholder value. His experience as multi-time CEO, board member, and investor provides him with the ability to quickly assess challenges and provide insight across all areas of a business model, business and more.
John currently serves as senior advisor to Bain Capital Ventures, Goldman Sachs Growth, and Sixth Street Growth.
